Colby and Tara Dollar tied the knot this last weekend in Chewelah, WA. After a long drive in the early hours of the morning I arrived in my family's hometown, only to be introduced to an entirely new group of friends that enjoyed each other, good food, and good drinks. A good time overall. Congratulations Colby and Tara. I absolutely wish you the best beginnings in your new life together...

It was a windy day, but we frolicked at the falls in Mt. Angel, Oregon and got some great shots for their Save the Date annoucements.

These two were a delight to photograph...We went to Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, WA and went everywhere we could on the 5 mile drive. I loved that Tara wasn't worried about getting dirty, and Colby was a great sport.

It is acting like winter up here in the Northwest, even though it is only autumn. It has been cold and rainy and then cold and clear, and it feels so cold that it might snow, and then the next day it is raining so hard that I can't get to my car without being drenched and cold. What is worse is when you get all ready, holding about 40 pounds of things and stuff to bring out to your car, and you realized that you have locked your keys in the car. My volkswagen has a different key for the door lock, then for the ignition, so of course, I do not have a spare. So I pout, and step into a 5 inch deep puddle, covering my chucks and seeping into my socks. Ugh. But, for the record, I love it. It smells so good here, and it is so green and beautiful, that it is sorta worth it.

I make necklaces. Most of what I do is really personal, like postage stamps from far away lands, where ever my boyfriend may be at the time, or photos, or ninjas, ya know, the usual. Anyway, I work at Forza Coffee Company right now, and I concocted these. I like 'em, so here they are! I would really like some nice investor to find me and say, wow, these necklaces are fantastic, make me one-hundred of them for my company. If you are such an investor, or know one, let me know. I love doing it, it would be nice to get paid for it. :)

When Artichokes flower, they are absolutely beautiful. Garlic, has crazy long stalks and a beautiful bursting flower that looks like a firework that has been suspended and captured in an accidental floral miracle. I was just going through photos of my mom's wedding, and my grandmother's ridiculous garden. It is like the secret garden on acid. All the flowers are insanely vibrant and beautiful. I can't even explain how impressed I was. I may have been so excited because I was born without a green thumb, and I manage to even kill plastic plants, so this was amazing for me. Anyway, consuming a gigantic artichoke made me think of how beautiful the plant is, so there's that. Wanna see more pretty plants? www.pericwaldmann.com He is the bloom king...

Apple Juice

So I've always really enjoyed apples. In any form, any texture, I love apples. Apple sauce, apple juice, apples and peanut butter, apple fritters, apple pie. I just like the appleness. I always order an apple juice when I'm in a juicy mood. But now, every time I drink apple juice I think of one specific moment in Santa Rosa, California in July of last year. Eric and I had driven hundreds of miles that day, we were both knackered, and I had actually fallen asleep and gotten a couple of hours before we were on to setting up for the next fire.

He woke me up, after he had driven miles and miles, sweetly, with a cinnamon and sugar bagel, and an ice cold apple juice.

He is a kind hearted man.

Now, when I miss him, it's what I want.
